full-stop meditations on high

arresting volume

of violent collision

with metal on metal

intersected or crashing against

an opaque window

bruised and brushed dust

stirred at the edges

 

   Vampire bats encircling

helicopters and beams

of God’s grace

on the sidewalk

spotlight down

unholy white scalpel
